Life is messy, busy, hectic, challenging, frightening, chaotic, unsettling...add your own adjectives! We are often on the endless search for balance in our lives and we look everywhere but within ourselves.
With patience and practice, I have come to learn the beauty and benefits of silence. When I practice sitting in silence it seems that everything else begins to fade away. I feel my tension starting to drain, my breathing becoming slower and calmer and eventually, even my mind begins to quiet it's endless chatter.

I'm sure that many of you think that yoga teachers are experts at managing stress and breeze through their days sprinkling fairy dust and blowing rainbows. I hate to be the one to burst your bubble but we have our breaking points, too!
